Charles is the former Official Secretary and Chief Administrator of the Office of the Governor of Victoria where, since 2004, he provided an advisory and “Ambassadorial role” to the Victorian Premier and Government on trade, investment and biotechnology, especially in China and North Asia.
He has served as a Councillor of Monash University and on the Monash University Malaysia Board and is a Governor of the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health.
Charles has received a number of high level awards including Monash University’s highest accolade, a Doctor of Laws Honoris Causa. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2020 for distinguished service to the Crown, to public administration in Victoria, to medical research, and to Australia-China business relations.

Professor Gab Kovacs is internationally regarded for his outstanding contribution to medicine. He has had a distinguished career both in general obstetrics and gynaecology, as well as in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Professor Kovacs is a pioneer in the development and success of IVF and assisted reproduction generally. He has also played a critical role in advancing research and creating ground breaking new technologies for patients.
Professor Kovacs is principally responsible for the development and maintenance of strong relationships with prominent medical academics and specialists, leading universities and major health organisations.
Dina is a transformational executive and growth strategist who has generated multi-$million ventures from scratch in healthcare, health insurance, telecommunications and startups.
As a C-level advisor, Dina has expertise in business design, innovation and the establishment of commercial models. She has launched several new ventures and transformed existing ones to leverage market opportunities.
At Sonoa, Dina pivoted the go-to-market strategy towards B2B licensing thereby focussing our expertise into delivering leading edge innovative healthcare technology globally. As a specialist in future-state strategies, Dina uses her experience in marketing and human-centred design to operationalise and accelerate growth across our regional licenses.

Russell is a highly qualified and experienced healthcare professional who played a key role in growing the CPIC Allianz health insurance group in China from start-up to a $billion turnover business in six years. He has held high level roles as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Digital Officer with CPIC Allianz, as Chief Executive of the Munich Re (Group) in Saudi Arabia, as Chief Executive of Latrobe University Private Hospital in Australia, and a number of other large healthcare providers.
Russell is responsible for Sonoa's business interest in China and the establishment of mutually-beneficial commercial relationships with the goal of achieving rapid growth and a successful exit for Sonoa. Russell is also responsible for ensuring Sonoa complies with relevant international, legal and corporate regulations and accepted principles of good governance.

Jody is a highly experienced information and communications technology expert who has been developing innovative and intelligent software in digital health for more than 20 years. He has strong leadership and project management skills, having gained experience coordinating large ICT teams and complex technology projects.
He has worked on solutions for Origin Healthcare, RACV, Colonial First State, Sony, Sonoa Health, Winscan and many others.
Jody is responsible for managing all digital technology projects and for ensuring they're consistent with Sonoa’s strategic business direction. Jody actively participates in business management and corporate governance decisions.
Richard is a highly experienced and well-known creative art director who has worked on high profile projects with well-known companies including DisneyToon Studios, Dreamworks TV and Media World Pictures.
Richard produced Sonoa's animated characters and directed Sonoa's talented creative team of animators, illustrators, story tellers and voice over artists who established our large library of consumer-facing, medically-verified content, which includes written articles, illustrations and animations.
Richard is responsible for managing all creative elements of the Sonoa range of digital products and in particular, to ensure they are consistent with Sonoa’s strategic business direction. Richard actively participates in business management and corporate governance decisions.

Professor Leon Piterman is the Director of China GP Programs at Monash University. He is also a past member of the Board of Examiners of the Australian Medical Council and sits on various university, professional and government expert committees. He is responsible for establishing and conducting Monash’s most successful Diploma/Masters in Family Medicine and has delivered numerous short courses to GPs and GP trainees in Australia and overseas. Leon has extensive expertise in medical education, medical research and clinical audit. He has published widely on clinical and educational issues related to general practice with particular interest in mental health and chronic disease. He co-authored the text “General Practice Psychiatry” which has been translated into Italian and Chinese. Professor Piterman supported the work of the MAB as Chair from 2014 to 2018.

Professor Henry Burger is an eminent clinician-scientist, with a distinguished career in medical research. Until mid-2014, he was a practising clinical endocrinologist with a particular interest in basic and clinical research and practice in reproductive endocrinology at the Monash Health Department of Endocrinology and Jean Hailes for Women’s Health. He has also been awarded a Doctor of Laws honoris causa from Monash University - its highest honour. Professor Burger supported the work of the MAB from 2014 to 2018.

Professor Ian Meredith is best known for his studies in the field of Interventional Cardiology and Clinical Cardiology. He is currently the Global Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President at Boston Scientific. Prior to this, Ian was the Director of MonashHeart and Executive Director of the Monash Cardiovascular Research Centre. Professor Meridith supported the work of the MAB from 2014 to 2018.

Professor Geoffrey Metz is Dean of Medicine and Director of Medical Education at Epworth HealthCare, and is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne, Australia. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He is a past President of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and, over the past 25 years, has served on most of its committees. He is currently Deputy President of the College. Professor Metz supported the work of the MAB from 2014 to 2018.

Renowned Emeritus Professor John Murtagh is an academic General Practitioner, Professorial Fellow of General Practice at the University of Melbourne; Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Graduate School of Medicine, the University of Notre Dame and Guest Professor at Peking University Health Science Centre. He is also highly acclaimed author of several internationally adopted textbooks including John Murtagh’s General Practice which has been translated into thirteen languages and is available in hard copy and electronically. Professor Murtagh supported the work of the MAB from 2014 to 2018.

Professor Hatem Salem is an Emeritus Professor at Monash University. He was the Head of the Academic Department of Clinical Haematology at Monash University and the Head of Clinical Haematology at the Alfred Hospital. He served as President of Asia Pacific Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis and as President and Executive Director of the Australasian Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. He is a senior Counsellor of the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. Professor Salum supported the work of the MAB from 2014 to 2018.
